“As we observe children, we see the vitality of their spirit, the maximum effort put forth in all they do, the intuition, attention and focus they bring to all life’s events, and the sheer joy they experience in living.” —
Dr. Maria Montessori
The Child, Society and the World
An Educational Method designed by Maria Montessori. Observing children's interests and guiding them towards what they are naturally drawn to. In harmony with Montessori Philosophy, we focus on preparing and enhancing Life and Academic skills. Organically learning and thriving.
Purposeful activity, develops motor control and coordination, and develops independence, concentration, and a sense of responsibility. The exercises in practical life cover two main areas of development: care of self, and care of the environment.
The sensorial area in a Montessori classroom focuses on lessons and activities that help develop the five senses: seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling. The lessons and activities provided in the sensorial area of the classroom help children clarify, classify, and understand the world around them.
The Montessori Methodology is divided into three core subject areas: Language, Math, and Cultural. The Cultural curriculum refers to an integrated study that includes History, Biology, Geography, and Physical Science, as well as the Arts.
We encourage children to explore various aspects of the world around us. Whether that's examining a lady bug, planting seeds or taking time to smell the rain, we pause and absorb what nature has to teach us.
Due to the pandemic, we ask that all guardians and family members remain outside of the building during pick-ups and drop-offs unless otherwise advised. Thank you for being understanding during this time.
